SAHO vs Cancer

The SAHO family has been struck hard the last few weeks. Two of our beloved team members have been hit with cancer.
Paulette Solitario:
If you have walked through the front door at SAHO, chances are that you have met Paulette. She is always at the front desk ready to meet you and your pet, and she gives the warmest welcome every time. If your pet has had surgery here at SAHO, Paulette is usually the one helping you and your pet out the door. And if you have had to let go of a pet, she is the first in line to give hugs. She gives the BEST hugs. She has been with us for many years, and has never lost her passion for animals or their people. She puts her whole heart into everything she does and that has not gone unnoticed. Paulette, by far, gets the most compliments and requests for her personal touch at SAHO.
After a lifetime of giving, it is now time for Paulette to receive. Paulette was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She had her surgery early yesterday morning, and is recovering well, she still has a series of radiation therapy to follow.
Alisha Balzer:
The reason why your pet’s stay is so great at our Pet Resort is due to Alisha’s hard work managing that department. She is always making sure that your pet gets pristine care while here, making it their home away from home. If you have ever interacted with Alisha, you know that you cannot help but smile when you are around her. She is always the one cracking jokes or doing something to lighten the mood, making her a true joy to be around. Simply saying “hi” to her is enough to brighten your day. All of the animals love her, and she is a great leader to all of our Pet Care Specialists.
This past week, she was diagnosed with Type B Lymphoma (non-Hodgkins lymphoma). She has a LONG road ahead of her.
We love these ladies very dearly, and hate that they have to go through this. But, we will not let them go through it alone! Together, as a SAHO community, we would like to raise money to help them cover their expenses. #SAHOvsCancer
If you have been touched by either Paulette or Alisha and feel drawn to help, please donate what you can. We will distribute the funds to each of them as needed and SAHO will pitch in as well. Any amount helps. Also, if you are currently experiencing any type of cancer, our thoughts and prayers are with you as well.
