Every 4 years the world comes together to celebrate extraordinary human athletic achievement at the Olympic Games. In order for an athlete to be selected to represent the United States, they must first participate in the USA Swimming Olympic Team Selection Swim Meet (Olympic Trials). This year the Olympic Trials will be held in Omaha, NE, June 26-July 3. For most swimmers, participating in this meet is the highlight of their career. Scottsdale Aquatic Club (SAC) is excited to be sending 10 swimmers to this prestigious event! Unfortunately, with this achievement comes great expense. For most swimmers the cost will exceed $2500! Scottsdale Aquatic Club and the families need your help to offset the costs for these swimmers. Please help us support them to attend Olympic Trials as they represent us in their attempts to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Team!
Here is How You Can Help!
Any amount you can donate will go directly to covering the expenses associated with participating in Olympic Trials. Since Scottsdale Aquatic Club is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit Arizona corporation, all of your contributions are tax deductible. The Olympic Trials is a ten day swim meet which requires airfare, ground transportation, lodging, food and swim meet entry fees for each participating athlete. For many athletes, they can not cover these costs alone and will need substantial assistance. For each swimmer participating in the Olympic Team Selection Swim Meet, this has been a life long dream and a culmination of years of hard work and sacrifices. Although Scottsdale Aquatic Club has been working throughout the year to raise money to assist our participating athletes, there is still more that we need to raise. Our goal is to cover the cost associated with participation in Olympic Trials for all the athletes representing Scottsdale Aquatic Club.

About Scottsdale Aquatic Club:
Mission: We are Scottsdale Aquatic Club. As a TEAM, we develop champions in the pool and in life by creating a positive environment that inspires the dreams of swimmers at all competitive levels. Enriching our youth from the classroom to the pool, Scottsdale Aquatic Club athletes excel in everything they do.
Over the past 7 years, 67 Scottsdale Aquatic Club swimmers have earned college scholarships to continue their competitive swimming careers while gaining a college education. SAC boasts an overall college attendance rate of 95% amongst its graduating team members. In the pool, athletes experience the self-confidence that comes with individual achievements while also having mg pride in being part of a high performance championship team.
SAC swimmers spend an average of 20-22 hours training in the pool and and gym each week. While the physical benefits of swimming are widely acclaimed, what generally isn’t recognized is that during that time, important life skills are being learned, setting these young athletes up to be future leaders in our communities.
While SAC is ONE TEAM, its athletes represent over 25 high schools and countless elementary and middle schools in the greater Phoenix area, bridging boundaries that few other sports can cross. Equally impressive is the national exposure that SAC delivers to Scottsdale. Aside from our top 15 national ranking, our athletes consistently serve as the face of our community while traveling to meets across the country and around the world.

While building character and contributing to the community are true marks of a championship organization, results in the pool can’t be ignored. SAC is proud to have an unprecedented nine team members representing our club at the 2016 Olympic Swimming Trials. 21 members competed at the 2016 Junior Nationals bringing home the 2nd place team finish. At the state level, over half of SAC swimmers qualified for, competed at and won the Arizona State Team Championship.
