The music of Nektar and Mr Roye Albrighton holds a special place in my heart as well as so many other Rock / Progressive Rock music fans around the world. It's been a rare and special privilege to be able to experience a one of kind artist like Roye on record and in concert.
My name is Scott Moskowitz and I'm an enormous fan of NEKTAR and Roye Albrighton. Roye's music, personality, smile and generosity was infectious. He was a true gentleman and a musician of the highest degree. His passing has brought an extreme amount of sadness and left a giant hole in Rock community. Roye will be missed by all his family, bandmates (other family) and a legion of fans.
His passing has left funeral expenses and debts in excess of $8000... something I know his fans would not want to see his family endure. That is the reason of this gofundme page. All the money raised will go directly to his son Che for Roye's funeral expenses.
The world lost a great musician and a great man. I will close this gofundme page down when it has reached it's goal (or surpassed), but no later than the end of this month, 03 Septemer 2016. If you could donate any amount, I know we can get this funded for Roye's family. They would greatly appreciate it and we thank you from the bottom of my hearts.
