Help Rotti corgi on!

Donación protegida
Four strikes and you are NOT out!

We lost our boy 14-year-old boy Tucker to degenerative myelopathy on 6/30/16. To honor him, we wanted to donate to a corgi rescue who was caring for a wheely pup. We found this little guy at Queen's Best Stumpy Dog Rescue two weeks later. If you say it just right donation sounds a lot like adoption.
Within two days the application was completed and submitted. We were over the moon when it was approved. The adoption after glow was interrupted a day later with a call from the rescue. During a routine exam, it was discovered our adorable adoptee Rotti had a large splenic tumor that was likely cancerous. Holy poop. After a long two minute discussion we let Susan (the heart and braun of QBSDRescue) know that yes we could give a furever home to another pup on chemo (did we mention Tuck's brofur Goobie has leukemia?). Sounds easy enough to nurses. Remove tumor and if needed get chemo. NOT. Splenic tumors are the worst sort, even if they're not malignant. They make your pup into a large, furry grenade whose pin at any unknown moment can be pulled causing a horrible, irreversible internal implosion. Knowing that our boy was ticking, Susan hightailed it (no offense to Pemmies) to his fostermoms in the Bay Area and got Rotti to an oncologist. Aware the odds weren't in his favor, every awful contingency plan was discuss. Very scary poop. A thousand tears and a biopsy later (48 hours in two-legged time) we got this news: the biopsy is negative. Yesss. It appears God (Dog if you prefer) has thrown us a bone. Now we must run with it!!
The tumor and spleen are still at risk of rupture and hemorrhage. Rotti needs them out NOW. Unfortunately, the nearest now is tomorrow. So what will we do today?
Break the cardinal rule of dogdom: BEG. Animal friends we need your kibble. Please reach deeply into your wallets and share a scoop or two. This resilient little guy has survived two surrenders and IVDD. Let's show him you're not out on strike four either!! SHOW HIM THE MONEY (and if you have a spare cookie he says that'll help too)!!!!
