Rodney's answer to cancer

The answer is simply "not today." Cancer is not my period. It's my comma.
On Friday, October 19, 2018, I went to the hospital for additional testing because the mass in my neck had been identified as non-Hodgkins lymphoma. That same day, the test results indicated I was in stage 3 of this cancer, with a visible, golf ball sized tumor on one side of my neck, a small spot on the other side, and 2 spots above my kidneys.
I was admitted to the hospital that same day. The doctor simply said go home and pack a bag - we start aggressive chemo on Monday.
I was hospitalized for 8 days with around the clock chemo treatments. That was round one.
But God!
Like I said, cancer is my comma. I've been released from the hospital. The tumor is shrinking. Round two and three will be 24 hour treatments as an outpatient over the next two months.
I wish I could jump right back into catering and event planning, but unfortunately I'm not able to be around a lot of people and outside germs. This puts a slight cramp in things when you own your own business. Fortunately the House of Ambrosia team is beyond amazing and continues to step up and step in.
Many of you have asked how you can help. To that Roz and I say thank you in advance for even offering. The need is great, yet the love has been greater. That really is an understatement. We know every thought, text, phone call, visit, prayer, and monetary donation is from your heart and keeps us covered. We are grateful beyond words.
We love you and thank you for being here for us,
