RoboScout Squad is an all girls Lego robotics team in Kalispell, MT. On January 18, 2020 they won the 2020 Montana State FIRST Lego League Championship. This win earns them an invitation to the FIRST World Festival and FIRST Lego League World Championship in Houston, TX April 15-18, 2020. They will learn from and compete against 51 US and 56 international teams. Participation on the world stage is a once in a lifetime educational opportunity that they will remember forever.
We have less than 3 months to fund the trip. Our estimates put the need at $20,000 for the week long trip. This covers airfare, luggage fees, lodging, food, rental van, gas, parking fees, tournament registration, team shirts, presentation supplies, large format print jobs, project model, shipping equipment to and from Houston, banners, small trinkets to swap with other teams and convention booth decor representing both their innovation project and the great state of Montana. We need to purchase the plane tickets as soon as possible.
These amazing young ladies are humbled, honored and excited to represent the Flathead Valley and Montana at the FIRST World Festival. As a community, I’m sure we can get them there. Please share this everywhere. We are stronger together.
