Friends and Family of Ria-
On May 18, 2019, Ria suffered a terrible injury and needs your help!
During a game with her women's football team — the Western CT Hawks — Ria was tackled, resulting in a fractured fibula and twice-fractured tibia . That night she was rushed into surgery to have a metal rod installed in her leg to help her recovery.
Ria has been a beloved pre-school teacher for 13 years. She devotes her life to teaching and caring for children, and is continuing that in her pursuit of her Bachelor's in Elementary Education. In addition to her full time job teaching, she waitresses at a popular Bethel restaurant, J Lawrence Downtown, to make ends meet.
Due to her injury, she will be unable to work at the preschool for 3 weeks and cannot go back to waitressing for an unknown amount of time.
Despite her injury, Ria is in good spirits and can't wait to return to the kids, the restaurant (and football when the time comes!) Without any health insurance to aid her, she would benefit so much from your help with the costs of her surgery and other bills. She is an amazing person — the best friend you could ask for. Please consider donating to help in her recovery.
