Reema Davis Support Fund
"SOOO I get out my bed cause I see Shani sliding pass my bedroom with a plate of food and a drink. I go to her room to tell her no food upstairs to find out she got her little friend in her bedroom eating; it's 9:40 at night. I'm like, "Shani, really?!" But I notice this child crying so I asked her what's going on. This little girl tell me her mother put her out because she got into an argument with the mom's BOYFRIEND!!! Shani looking all crazy asking me if she can stay. I'm like WTH .....so I call the girls mom. This bitch really try to justify her putting her 13 yr old daughter in the street and had the nerve to tell
me, "until she get her attitude together and stop disrespecting" her MAN she's not welcome in HER house. MANNNNNNNNN! I wanted to curse this woman the (****) out! I just calmly asked her if she can come get a change of clothes and her book bag for school. I told this baby to get as much of her stuff as she can and I'll be waiting in the car. I don't know what type of bullshit y'all on these day but I guess I have a new daughter. Smh."
I'm happy to report, Reema now has temporary custody of the child in the story. Thus, we are now looking to assist Reema, a mother of one, with now providing for two. This covers the additional costs of bills and food, as well as, providing an additional bed and mattress, summer camp, therapy and any thing else this young child may need.
It takes a VILLAGE to raise a child and, right now, we are that abandoned child's village. If all 21,000 people who liked Reema's post gave her $5, we would have enough to provide for this new child while creating college saving's funds for BOTH of her children. If you can't give as little as $5, then at least take a stand to help vulnerable children get away from neglectful parents.
Be a mentor.
Be a friend.
Be a Reema.
This is Sabrina G. from Philadelphia, PA.; creator of the Reema Davis Support Fund. I came across Larrima's story just like many of you: on social media. After reading it, I found Reema on Twitter and asked her for an update. She said she obtained temporary custody of the little girl in question. This is what prompted me to start the fund.
I am NOT related to Miss Davis, nor do I know her personally. I am just an independent supporter like all of you. As I stated before, these funds will help Larrima, a single mother, with now supporting two children. We're hoping to provide the displaced child with:
- a new bed and mattress
and, assist Larrima with paying for:
- additional groceries/other bills
- summer camp for the two girls
Thank you all again for your support and, continue to take care of these children and each other.
*I do not have access to these funds. This money will be withdrawn by Larrima Davis who I've already been in touch with, and who also has access to this page. She is shocked by the outpouring of love and thanks you all for your support.
The person who put her child out especially over a "man"??? shouldn't be referred to as a mother or a woman and what "man" would expect any mother to take him over her child? Dear God PLEASE Bless this child because the first 13 years of her life must have been horrible if this is the person she was being raised by. This story touches close to home for me because my husband lived the same exact life being put out at 13 over a man. These women who can do this are nothing of GARBAGE.
Hello, I also have a gofundme to try to raise money for my 4th open heart surgery and the medical bills I now face on my own with just my disability check, since my husband divorced me after 21 years of marriage. That being said, I was reading through some of the other gofundme stories when I came across this one and it really touched me. I can really relate to what the little girl is going through from a personal perspective. I won't go into detail, but no child should ever have to feel like that. I am making this promise to you, that as soon as I am able to pay my rent for the month of April, I will donate to help this extremely selfless mother (now of two little girls) provide the much needed care this little one so richly deserves. God bless you for starting up this gofundme for the family and spreading the word against abuse for this family and others like it, that take in the forgotten children of the world. We all need to do more, because there are sadly far too many cases of child abuse and neglect. Sincerely, Carrie Partain Athens, Georgia
