Rally for Halle

My daughter Halle age 14 woke on June 11 of this year will abdominal pain. The pain worsened and became so severe we went to Lake Granbury Medical Center. A cat scan of the abdomen was done to what at the time was thought of as a cyst on the kidney or pancreas. Halle and I were transported via ambulance to Cook's children hospital. Halle was admitted that night and began to see specialists. Her GI doctor wanted to clarify the cat scan and ordered a special MRI of the abdomen. To our fears the MRI showed a tumor on the tail of the pancreas. Halle's surgeon removed the tumor and some of the tail of the pancreas through her navel on June 15. She developed sensitivity to narcotics blew one IV line and another line infiltrated. Halle's hematologist/oncologist ordered numerous lab test for tumor markers all came back negative. However on June 18 the tumor once dissected and with special stain revealed Stage 3 Non-Hodgkin's B cell diffuse lymphoma. That same day ct scans of the chest and neck where done looking for more cancer. The next day the results showed more active cancer in her lungs and mediastinal. We left Cooks that Friday to spend time with family and digest the results. Halle and I returned that Monday on June 22 for a Pet scan to show a active node in her left clavicle. That same day a bone marrow biopsy and spinal tap was performed both test came back negative, her surgeon place a port a cath for chemo that day. June 24th Halle's first dose of chemo was given thru her spine. Halle was released that Friday to go home. Halle developed a spinal headache and had to receive treatment for this on June 30. July 1 Halle was admitted to Cook's for a Pet scan and chemo. The Pet scan showed a tumor reduction of almost 50% in one week. She spent the 4th in the hospital and was very upset with the chemo making her sick and weak. We got to leave the hospital on June 8th. Halle will have doctor appointments every week but will get 2 weeks off and return on July 24 for more chemo and testing. The protocol for her cancer will be one week of inpatient chemo and testing and 2 weeks off for the next couple of months. Over the last month I have watched my very active child, who was in sports and cheerleading, have a physical and energy decline due to the treatments. I have two jobs, but during her few first weeks in the hospital it required me to be there by her side day in and day out; therefore, there was a major loss in income. This has been a total devastation not only for her whole family, but for her friends and coaches. Anything you contribute to help would be greatly appreciated.
