A Love Story for the Ages: Jeff and Anna –Raleigh the Troops! (Kindly written by Lauren Busuttil)
Like many others, Jeff and Anna have a strong marriage with a beautiful son. But what sets them apart is the way that they’ve hurdled adversity and challenge in the darkest of times.
Anna moved to the United States from Latvia amidst a time of turmoil to pursue an education and a better life in America. She learned English and put herself through school. During her years at University, she would take the bus to work and to her studies.
In a classic romance story, Jeff saw her at the bus stop and returned there daily, just to catch a glimpse of Anna (even when he had no business riding the bus). Hearing him describe the story again and again, he explained to me that he refused stop going to the bus stop until they could speak. Before long, they were dating, then engaged, then married. They had a beautiful son.
Of the many couples I know, Jeff and Anna are a model for me in my own marriage. I have watched them conquer many personal struggles and financial hardships, all with love and compassion for one another. Jeff fell ill a few weeks ago, and has been in critical condition ever since. Throughout this time, Anna has not left his side. Anna has taken a leave of absence from work and they are battling together, even though they desperately need the income to support their family and young son.
At this point, we need to “Raleigh” the troops. Jeff, Anna, and their son need your support and donation to help keep Jeff and Anna fighting strong for recovery….
