Dreams of Lillehammer
It's Rakai Tait here. I just learned that it's official...I have been selected to represent New Zealand in the Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway next month. I am incredibly honored to have such an opportunity to ride half pipe for the country of my heritage on a world stage with some of the best young athletes in the world.
The cost to my family for this endeavor is $3,000, and it's a bit out of reach at the moment. I'm hoping that with the help of friends and family, I can reach this goal and get there.
With the suppport of the Level Field Fund and the Kelly Clark Foundation, as well as a few key sponsors like Weston Snowboards and Native Eyewear, we've managed to get this far. Please consider chipping in, even a small amount. I will be super grateful for any donation you are able to make. Every dollar counts as I make my way toward my goals in this pinnacle event and ultimately, the 2018 Olympic Games in South Korea.
Thanks so much for all of the moral support and general "Woohoo's" you all have provided so far in my journey...and thanks in advance for your financial support, as well.
Shred It Forward...
