LIFE SAVING DREAM ORIGINATING FROM MYSTERY ILLNESS

RADIATION REFUGE FOUNDATION LTD (AUSTRALIA)– A LIFE SAVING DREAM ORIGINATING FROM A MAN’S CURIOSITY ABOUT A MYSTERY ILLNESS

It all started with minor but noticeable headaches for Yash. He noticed that every time he is in proximity of electrical devices such as Wi-Fi routers, cell phone towers, cordless phones and solar panel inverters he started experiencing minor symptoms of headache. Conventional doctors couldn't find anything wrong with him. He noticed that occasional trips to the forests or areas surrounded by nothing, but nature would help with healing from these unknown headaches. Upon research, he found out the harmful effects of radiation and came to understand that removal of those devices or distancing himself from these devices helps instantly.

This got him thinking that, if it is affecting him (albeit in a lower magnitude), there must be other people like him, also suffering from something similar. Further research into this taught him a lot about this condition which he much later came to know is called as ‘Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity’ (EHS). The World Health Organization (WHO) in their publication classifies this condition as Idiopathic Environmental Intolerance (IEI) to Electromagnetic Fields (EMF). When exposed to sources of non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation, sufferers of EHS experience varying degrees of symptoms. The most commonly reported symptoms include headaches, heart palpitations/pressure in the chest, extreme fatigue, stress, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), skin conditions ranging from rashes to burning sensations, pain, muscle aches, issues with memory and concentration, irritability, and sleep disturbances.

Yash read an article about the effects of a severe EHS sufferer Bruce Evans (A strong healthy man who was former green beret in the Australian Special Forces) in the Sydney Morning Herald Article “Brain on Fire” published on Sept 2, 2015 and decided to visit him in his country home in Victoria, in a bid to understand more about the condition. Over time and as explained by Bruce himself, it came to light that there are people suffering to such a great extent that they are willing to leave just about everything (including jobs, relationships and their home) behind, in search of a safe place. After suffering for about a decade himself, Bruce realized that a community setting would be essential to counter all these issues of isolation and lack of emotional support for people like him. Bruce wanted to set up a radiation refuge on his father’s farm initially, but due to installation of a cell phone tower in 2017 in direct line of sight of his father’s farm, he had to abandon his dream project.

Meeting with Bruce Evans encouraged Yash to do something similar for the community which led him to set up a Facebook group for EHS sufferers as well as non-sufferers who are aware of the harmful effects of Radiation and want to minimize it for them and their family. With the help and effort from the members and volunteers of the group collectively, the Radiation Refuge Foundation Ltd was officially set up and incorporated on the 24th January 2019.

Radiation Refuge Foundation Ltd.’s (RRF) objective is not only to establish a Radiation Refuge zone in Australia, a designated space where exposure to wireless radiation (EMR) and electric/magnetic fields (ELF) is extremely low, but also the following:
a) Raise awareness on the potential dangers of long term exposure to EMFs.
b) Create a support network to fight for the recognition of EHS as a medical condition across all of Australia and create a legal platform for those affected to turn to.
c) Liaise with concerned parents and schools/day cares to prohibit or restrict use of WiFi in schools/day cares.
d) Reduce transition to wireless as much as possible and encourage transition to wired communications as much as possible. Save the copper line network that runs across Australia which may soon be lost to the wireless world.
e) Liaise with the Government, Medical Department and Telecommunications industry to ensure extremely harmful technology like 5G is not installed.

Who is to tell what more is in store for the future in this evolving world of technology or should I say evolving world of dangerous technology!!! Its time for action!!!
