"Research Rudolf Steiner online... buy the book to read and study at home!"
Anthroposophy is a movement brought into the world by the Austrian philosopher Rudolf Steiner during the early years of the 20th century. Since then, it has grown to be worldwide in scope. Steiner wrote 28 books, several hundred articles, essays and commentaries, and gave over 6800 lectures! But, unfortunately, 3,033 of those lectures have never been translated into English! Our publishing wing, Anthroposophical Publications, aims to get them translated, online, and in print. We feel that if it's available in German, it should be available in English! Steiner himself said, “... and English is a universal world language, and will become so more and more.” (The Kingdom of Childhood lecture series, lecture on August 12th 1924).
So today, we ask you to help Anthroposophical Publications bring this information to the world. The eLib is the parent, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) initiative that supports this effort, along with several other initiatives. We survive on small donations averaging about $13 and a yearly grant. Only a tiny portion of our 30,000+ daily readers donate. If everyone reading this right now gave $3, our fundraising would be done within an hour. That's right, the price of a cup of coffee is all we need. We're a very small not-for-profit company with a very large website costs: bandwidth, servers, equipment and spare parts.
Our Goal for this Funding Drive is to reach the amount necessary to fund our bandwidth and server hosting costs for the year 2022. Bandwidth needs are for dedicated, guaranteed service. Hosting requires a facility with air and electrical conditioning and multiple backup generators.
The eLib is something special. It is like a public library where we can all go to learn and grow. And it is a Free service for all our visitors! If The e.Lib is useful to you, please take one minute to keep it online and serving the world. Help us provide "A Worldwide Presence, for a Worldwide Movement." Thank you, everyone! — The e.Librarian.
