We Want A Positive PVHS Climate

With the recent change in administration at Pahrump Valley High School we have a golden opportunity to dramatically improve the culture of the school and truly live up to our new mission statement "We inspire all to be positive and productive."

In an effort to jumpstart this shift in focus, we would like to purchase a program called HERO which would allow us to increase the safety and security of our campus through volunteer tracking, streamline the disciplinary and intervention processes, and allow us to create a positive behavior incentive system which will reward students for the good things they are doing. We believe this shift in focus from punishing bad behavior to rewarding good behavior will help us to instill in our students the belief that hard work and responsibility will get them further in life.

Sadly with the many cuts to educational funding and the strict requirements for how much federal and state funds are used, we are having trouble finding the money to make this new incentive system a reality. This is where the community of Pahrump can help.
