Here at Wishing Well Sanctuary our first resident to find peace entered into our lives 7 years ago. Since then through the hard work and determination of our amazing team, every single person who has pulled a rake and pushed a broom, we have grown into the true sanctuary we are today. Almost 70 farmed animals now call our sanctuary home. The lives of the animals have been transformed forever and that is why we do it. Alongside these efforts we continually host many school groups, camps, tours and corporations in hopes of providing humane education programming and planting seeds for the future. The sanctuary truly is a place of healing for all.
We, like many other sanctuaries now need more support from a wider following to ensure the continued success of the sanctuary for the animals.
Our Pigs need some help!
While we're extremely thankful to have provided a safe and loving home for so many of our beautiful pigs, they require additional space in order to truly enjoy the rest of their years here.
We have the space to extend from the barn out into a small forested area which will be ideal for our group of adventurers! Did you know that pigs are best suited with 1/2 acre of space per pig to live? With your support, we can significantly increase the size of their current enclosure and give them the room they need to feel free.
Would YOU like to be a part of making a nicer home for the piggies? It’s easy to contribute and every little bit helps! In fact, every dollar you contribute doubles by a matching donation from one of our very own a Wishing Well volunteers. The cost is approximately $5000.
An additional benefit of this expansion will be some much needed space for 2 of our beloved horses, Sweet Pea and Penny. They are currently in a separate, smaller paddock than the other horses due to Penny's recent health scare. She's unable to eat grass right now and this new, dirt paddock has provided her with a safe environment. Sweet Pea is keeping her company. The extra space from this fence expansion will give them a chance to be more active and enjoy some of the forested area as well.
