Phi Psi 500: Ohio Nu
Donation protected
Phi Psi 500 April 20th-April 25th
This year Phi Kappa Psi at Ohio University will be holding its 2nd annual Phi Psi 500. Last year the event was a success and we were able to raise over $4500 for the Athens City School District. The goal for this week is to accumulate 500+ hours of community service and philanthropy work. This year our proceeds will be going towards our national philanthropy, The Boys and Girls Club of America.
Monday-Telethon April 20th
During the Telethon each brother will reach out to family, friends and alumni in order to raise money for our cause. This was our most successful event last year. This year we have created a GoFundMe account in order to make donating easier for those interested in doing so.
Tuesday- Feed Athens April 21st
We are partnering with the ACACIA fraternity in order to host a soup kitchen at the First United Methodist Church from 5-8 pm. We are hoping to not only provide a free meal for Athens’ residents, but also interact with them and give back to our local community.
Wednesday- Dunk Tank April 22nd
The Dunk Tank will be set up North Green from 12-4pm partnered with Alpha Xi Delta; participants will pay $3 for five opportunities to dunk the brothers, or $1 per throw.
Thursday- Horse Race April 23rd
On Thursday we are adding a new event that we did not have last year. Phi Kappa Psi will be hosting a Kentucky Derby themed event. Brothers will participate in piggyback races, while attendees bet on the races with tickets received at the door. $5 admission will include food, drinks and race tickets for betting purposes. Their will also be gift baskets raffles including a $50 lululemon gift-card and a court street themed basket.
Friday- Date Auction April 24th
Friday we will hold our 2nd annual date auction at Baker center. We will be auctioning off 25-35 brothers, girls will bid on our brothers and the highest bidder will get to go to our last date party of the semester the next day. To promote this event we will give each sorority a packet that contains a picture and short bio of all the brothers that are being auctioned off.
