Lynn Patterson, loving husband and father, passed away suddenly on March 24th. We know that Symbria and Sara are strong, independent women, but even the strongest people need help in times of hardship. Lynn was a hard worker and did the job of three people at their small farm, Red Acre Farm CSA. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

For those of us that know the Pattersons, you know how loving, generous and selfless they are. They are such a positive influence in the local community and have given back wherever they can.

In addition to raising money for funeral expenses, we would also like to help ease their burden by raising enough money to get some farm-hands hired to keep their livelihood, the farm, running smoothly.

Please consider donating and sharing this campaign. Any amount will help. If you can't donate money, prayers are certainly welcome and needed.

Hello everyone. Many of you have heard that the Patterson's had a house fire last week. Everyone is fine, but their home has major fire and smoke damage. Their homeowners insurance will cover most of their personal belongings and the home repairs, but none of their business supplies and equipment will be covered. The garage sustained the most damage and amongst much of their equipment they use for their business they also lost hundreds of pounds of produce which they had relied on to make it through the winter. I have started a new campaign to start collecting donations to help them get back on their feet. You can find the new campaign here, https://www.gofundme.com/redacrefarm. Thank you all!

Symbria and Sara are continuing to keep the farm running with whatever help shows up that day. Although it's not physically possible, Lynn appeared to have worked 24 hours a day and it takes three people to do what he did!

He is sorely missed. Not only because of the work that he did, but because of the person that he was to all of us; his love, sincerity, creativity and selfless acts.

We've have a new influx of gifts in the last few days thanks to the Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund mentioning the Patterson's plight, and Lynn's passing in their newsletter. Thank you! Thank you to everyone for your continued gifts and support.

I just got back home after going to Cedar City for the funeral. What an exhausting, but beautiful day it was yesterday. We came together to celebrate the life of a wonderful man who touched and influenced our lives in a way that we will never forget.

Symbria and Sara expressed their gratitude for all your generous gifts. They are overwhelmed with the love and support they are receiving.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
