What am I doing?
Headed to the studio in July to record my First Professional Quality EP featuring John D'earth, Butch Taylor (Dave Matthews Band/Robert Jospe Express) Brock Butler of Perpetual Groove, Sax Victuoso Charles Owens, Benny Montgomery (Drums), Ryan Pieresante (Guitar), and Jon Brewer (Sax)
What's my goal?
My goal is to fully fund a very high quality 5 song EP featuring some of my favorite musicians on the East Coast at Red Amp Audio in Richmond VA. I've been writing music for over 10 years and I have some songs that I just need to share with people. Studio time is quite pricy and I like to take care of my friends who help me out. My good friend, and phenomenal drummer, Benny Montgomery from Alabama contacted me with an interest in traveling up to Virginia to record some of my music with me. The EP will include five original songs. Our first days in the studio will be July 22-23. I hope to have the EP finished by Summer 2018 and out on as many different mediums as possible for distribution. As of now, I have myself, Butch Taylor (Dave Matthews Band/ Robert Jospe Express) Benny Montgomery on Drums, Brock Butler of Perpetual Groove on Guitar, John D'earth (trumpet), and Charles Owens (Sax) confirmed to work on the project. My good friends Ryan Piresante (Guitar) and Jon Brewer (Sax) will also be coming along for the ride. I haven't been this excited to do anything in a very long time. Music is so important to me and everybody who knows me is already aware of that. Every donation is very graciously accepted. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I cannot wait to share this project with everyone.
But Why?
I picked up my first guitar in 2005 and have been playing everyday since then. Music moves me because when it comes down to it you're not trying to sell anything to anybody. You're not trying to manipulate them. You're trying to appeal to their senses and give them something meaningful that they will remember and might even be potentially move them.
