Building Organic Farm in Nepal

After having the fortune of visiting Nepal a year ago, we have been trying to find out as many ways to help the Nepali community to stand back on their feet as we can and today we are asking for your help .
Thousands of people were left homeless and entire villages destroyed after the devastating earthquake of last April, however, the Nepali community has shown an inspiring resilience and hard work and we want to help out.
Together with Indra Foundation, a foundation started by a Nepali family who is working to bring happiness back to many people affected by the earthquake, we are asking for your help to start an Organic Farm in Eastern Nepal.
Eastern Nepal was deeply damaged by the earthquake, which is why we have decided to build a farm that will be run by people in the village, where we can help local villagers to promote the practice of organic farming and help them to improve their livelihood.
The Organic Farm will be established in a village near to Basantapur in Eastern Nepal with the purpose of not only helping a community but making it self-sustainable again.
In order to make this project a reality, we are aiming to raise US $ 4,000. We will use the money to start leasing land, buy farming equipment’s, establish a non-profit entity, and build a small farmhouse cottage inside the Organic Farm.
Project Objectives:
· Help Local Farmers to understand the methods and impacts of Organic Farming.
· Provide Training for local Farmers on Organic Farming.
· Help Local Farmers marketing the Organic Products Produced in the Villages.
· Integrate Organic Farming for Eco-tourism and economic development of the local Communities.
· Help Improving the Livelihood of local village people though Sustainable Organic Farming.
It is time to spread the love to our fellow brother and sisters in Nepal and we believe that one great way to do so is through sustainable agriculture development in the region.
