OneBox Vzla: Shipping Expenses

My name is Liyuani Delgado. I am a Sophomore at Seminole State College, though I was born and raised in Venezuela. Given how much the situation has worsened in the South American country in the last few months, I started OneBox, a community-based project in charge of collecting food, personal-hygiene items, OTC medicine, and school supplies to provide to kids and adults who are struggling with the overall politico-economic upheaval in Venezuela.
The campaign is pretty simple: I place collection boxes in different parts of campus every semester, and then I ship over to Valencia, Venezuela, the items donated. The recipient of the boxes is my mom, Tibayde Tapia, who then takes the donations to the people in the areas of Valencia, Naguanagua, Guacara, and San Diego. We try to make the most of the donations that we receive and help the most amount of people with them. Thus, even when a contribution might seem little, every pound of rice, tube of toothpaste, and blister-pack of Tylenol helps a family.
Even though most of the items that I ship come from donations, the shipping expenses are often covered with my own funds. The summer campaign just started, and we already have received more than 500 lbs of donations which I plan on shipping by the end of July. It should be noted that this will be the largest lot I have ever shipped. Since many people have expressed their willingness to donate money to help me pay for the shipping expenses for these items, I created this GoFundMe page.
