November: The Animated Series

Beschermde donatie

~Story~
It was 2009 when I lost my dearest friend. At 12 years old, we both grew up believing that the color of our skin would limit us to a life of crime and violence. I was lucky enough to escape the expectations set before us, but unfortunately he was not. In November of that year, hatred claimed the life of best friend.

It was then that I was motivated to tell his story, in a fun engaging way that I think teens of all ages, especially youth of color, could immersively benefit from. I wanted to create an animated series, tribute to my fallen loved ones.

November the animated series is the kind of story that features a diverse cast, streamlined countercultures, alluring music, life lessons, and breath-taking action. It’s about a young boy, Bly, who is forced to surmount the expectations before him, and overcome his own self-hatred.

As he travels the world, Bly will meet people that try to classify him, detain him, abuse him, and control him, meanwhile struggling to tame his supernatural strength, and protect his loved ones. Each countless experience will bring him closer to learning not only the world expects from him, but more importantly, who he wants be. It is with this realization, that Bly alone can eventually transform the once dreary fate of warring humanity.

This story has taken the past seven years to write, but with your support, it will only take 6 months for Virtual Employee to animate our first episode, at the cost of $10,000. The end goal is to continue making episodes until November is known nationwide, and I hope to do so with your donation, and help from a few friends.

Those musicians, artists, and graphic designers that helped me craft November up until this point will follow its success with their contributions, while also allowing November’s success to network into their own, and I am excited to invite you all to join us.

The whole purpose of this animated series, of Bly’s story, of my story, is to remind humanity as a whole that diversity, hard work, and the right amount of hope can make anything possible--regardless of how impossible it seems. Otherwise, we will succumb to the fate of the expectations before us. November the Animated Series will inspire our youth to make more for themselves. I believe with a story like this, the investment in their futures will improve the global fate of us all in the end. I hope to have your support today, for the sake of spreading that resounding message to as many hearts as possible.

My name is Kenon Brinkley, and I’m asking you to contribute to Bly’s destiny, and become apart of humanity’s fate."

Thanks again!

Costs Breakdown:

Virtual Employee has quoted me at $1545 per month, as they work on animating the first episode. Their Tech Lead will remain in contact with me five days out of the week, allowing me to remain very involved in directing the specific craftmenship of the episode; nothing gets drawn or animated or even storyboarded without my approval during the process. The remaining $780 will be spent accordingly -
$200 for the website domain and web design (by Matthew Madden)
$150 for Music and Audio Editing (by Billy Bloomquist)
$200 for advertising on platforms like Hulu, Youtube, and Webtoons.
the $230 remainder will be spent on website maintenance, video editing for the trailer of episode 1, and logo design.
