Noelia Isabel Reyes Delfín was born on September 11th, 2015 in the Hospital Dalinde in Mexico City, Mexico, weighing 3,920 kl and 52 cm, a beautiful, healthy, big and very cheerful babygirl.
In January 2016 when Noelia Isabel was 4 months old the pediatrician detected that the skull measurement was above the normal percentile, so she decided to perform a CT scan to make sure everything was fine; Thanks God everything came out in order, additional decided to perform a study to determine bone age and hormone levels during that year, and everything was still normal.
On November 2016 when Noelia Isabel was 1 year and 2 months old, the pediatrician decided to make Noelia another tomography to ensure everything went well, she did not present any symptoms, her development was normal, she was still healthy and very cheerful; But on November 21, 2016 we received the results of the study and a dense mass of about 53 mm in diameter appeared near the brain stem and 4th ventricle and a considerable amount of metastasis in the brain.
Immediately the surgery is scheduled and the family began to travel to Mexico City to accompany us in the process, on November 24, Noelia Isabel is operated and 90% of the tumor is removed, and her chemotherapy regimen is started. Magnetic resonance, bone marrow and cerebrospinal fluid studies were performed to measure cancer expansion and type; The studies showed that the medulla was healthy but the fluid contaminated and by the type of cells that had, its age and the dissemination of the tumor the diagnosis of Demullobular Medulloblastoma of category T3M3.
Due to the diagnosis the Noelia’s treatment was based on 4 processes:
1. Operation.
2. Chemotherapies.
3. Radiation therapy.
4. Autologous bone marrow transplantation
On December 2016 we started with the first cycle of chemotherapy and at the same time we learned that we were pregnant and all this process was added a new member to the family and along with this blessing, all the expenses that bring a new baby.
By April 2017 Noelia Isabel was already in her 4th cycle of chemotherapy and had a second surgery to remove the remaining 10% of the tumor and make new assessments; Thanks God the operation went well just there was gliosis in the tumor zone, the cerebrospinal fluid came out clean and the metastasis had regressed by 70%.
In May I lose my job (the mother), the Noelia’s doctors contact to the ST Jude hospital in USA to consult the case and inform us due to Noelia’s medical history, she cannot recieve radiation and its only option to cure it and To fight the disease was to advance the transplantation of Bone Marrow.
In June we started the process with the insurance and we were informed that they would not cover the entire transplant, they would only cover 17% of the procedure.
By now we have exhausted all our resources and we have to face covering the costs of transplantation and the birth of the new baby.
The funds for which we ask for support are the necessary ones and would help us to cover the hospital, medical and post-operative expenses of Noelia Isabel, the process of recovery of transplant is of 1 year.
We appreciate all the support and consideration they may have from us and our case.

Noelia Isabel Reyes Delfín nace el 11 de septiembre de 2015 en el hospital Dalinde en la colonia Roma del DF, México, peso 3.920 kl y midió 52 cm, una niña grande, hermosa, saludable y muy alegre.
En enero de 2016 cuando Noelia Isabel tenía 4 meses de edad la pediatra detectó que la medida del cráneo de estaba por encima del percentil normal, por lo cual decidió realizarle una tomografía para asegurar que todo estaba bien; gracias a Dios todo salio en orden, adicional se decidió realizarle un estudio para determinar edad osea y niveles hormonales durante ese año y todo seguía saliendo normal.
En noviembre 2016 cuando Noelia Isabel tenia 1 año y 2 meses la pediatra decidió realizarle otra tomografía a Noelia para asegurar que todo seguía bien, ella no presentaba ningún síntoma, su desarrollo iba normal, seguía sana y muy alegre; pero el 21 de noviembre 2016 recibimos los resultados del estudio y apareció una masa densa de 53 mm de diámetro aproximadamente cerca del tallo cerebral y el 4to ventrículo y una cantidad considerable de metástasis en el cerebro.
De inmediato se agenda la cirugía y la familia comenzó a viajar al DF para acompañarnos en el proceso, el 24 de noviembre Noelia Isabel es operada y se logra extraer el 90% del tumor y se comienza a trabajar su esquema de tratamientos de quimioterapia. Se le realizaron estudios de resonancia magnética, de médula osea y de liquido cefalorraquídeo para medir la expansión del cáncer y el tipo; los estudios arrojaron que la médula estaba sana pero el liquido contaminado y por el tipo de células que tenia, su edad y la diseminación del tumor el diagnostico de Meduloblastoma Desmoplasico de categoria T3M3.
Debido al diagnostico el panorama de tratamiento de Noelia se basaba en 4 procesos:
1. Operación.
2. Quimioterapias.
3. Radioterapia.
4. Transfusion de células madres progenitores autologo
En diciembre 2016 empezamos con el primer ciclo de quimioterapia y al mismo tiempo nos enterábamos que estábamos embarazados y a todo este proceso se sumaba un nuevo integrante a la familia y junto con esta bendición, todos los gastos que acarrean un nuevo bebé.
Para abril 2017 Noelia Isabel ya estaba en su 4to ciclo de quimioterapia y se le realizo una segunda cirugía para extraer el 10% que quedaba del tumor y realizar nuevas valoraciones; gracias a Dios la operación salio bien, sólo quedaba cicatriz en la zona donde estaba el tumor, el liquido cefalorraquídeo salio limpio y la metástasis había retrocedido en un 70%.
En mayo pierdo mi trabajo (la mamá), los doctores de Noelia Isabel hacen contacto con el hospital ST Jude en USA para consultar el caso y nos informan que por el historial de Noelia no se le puede dar radiación y su única opción para curarla y combatir la enfermedad era que se adelantara la transfusion de células madres progenitoras autologo.
En junio comenzamos el proceso con el Hospital y el seguro; el hospital nos notifica que el costo del tratamiento es de aproximadamente 3 millones de pesos y del seguro nos informaron que no iban a cubrirlo y que no iban a apoyar con el procedimiento.
Cuando iniciamos el fondo no teníamos para realizar el trasplante, gracias a Dios pudimos resolver con seguridad social y el 11 de septiembre de 2017, el día de su cumpleaños logramos que ingresaran a Noelia para su proceso de trasplante; pero nos informan que el proceso post trasplante no lo va a poder cubrir ni el seguro privado ni el social, Gracias a Dios lo más crítico y costoso se cubrió pero los gastos venideros también serán altos.
A estas alturas ya hemos agotado todos nuestros recursos y tenemos que enfrentar todavia los gastos hospitalarios, médicos y post operatorios de Noelia Isabel, el proceso de recuperación de transplante es de 1 año.

De inmediato se agenda la cirugía y la familia comenzó a viajar al DF para acompañarnos en el proceso, el 24 de noviembre Noelia Isabel es operada y se logra extraer el 90% del tumor y se comienza a trabajar su esquema de tratamientos de quimioterapia. Se le realizaron estudios de resonancia magnética, de médula osea y de liquido cefalorraquídeo para medir la expansión del cáncer y el tipo; los estudios arrojaron que la médula estaba sana pero el liquido contaminado y por el tipo de células que tenia, su edad y la diseminación del tumor el diagnostico de Meduloblastoma Desmoplasico de categoria T3M3.

Cuando iniciamos el fondo no teníamos para realizar el trasplante, gracias a Dios pudimos resolver con seguridad social y el 11 de septiembre de 2017, el día de su cumpleaños logramos que ingresaran a Noelia para su proceso de trasplante; pero nos informan que el proceso post trasplante no lo va a poder cubrir ni el seguro privado ni el social, Gracias a Dios lo más crítico y costoso se cubrió pero los gastos venideros también serán altos.
A estas alturas ya hemos agotado todos nuestros recursos y tenemos que enfrentar todavia los gastos hospitalarios, médicos y post operatorios de Noelia Isabel, el proceso de recuperación de transplante es de 1 año.
