I am very excited to announce that I have been chosen as a contestant for the Miss Missouri/USA 2018 pageant.
It has always been a dream of mine to be able to do something noteworthy and it would be a tremendous honor to win and represent the state of Missouri.
This is something I never would have thought possible as a little girl in the foster care system. But I have learned that with hard work and people around who care, dreams can come true.
I have huge goals including a platform to raise awareness for children and youth that have been physically, verbally, sexually and emotionally abused. This is obviously a personal passion for me.
In addition to raising awareness, I want to inspire youth who are currently suffering from the effects of abuse in their pasts, that there is hope to overcome that trauma and become something greater than what they believe they can.
In order for me to complete this incredible journey, and have the chance to become Miss Missouri, I need help from my friends, family, and any potential sponsors to help raise the money that I need to take on this great once-in-a-lifetime event.
It is my goal to represent the state in the best way that I can. And I will do whatever it takes to represent Missouri in the best way possible.
