On Sunday October 1, 2017 in Las Vegas Nevada at around 10:08 at Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival shots were fired from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay onto now what is 515+ injured people. Among those was my friend Nick C (age 16) who was enjoying his nice night with his girlfriend (age 15). Out of nowhere tragedy struck and he was faced with a life or death situation but Nicks first instinct was to jump on his girlfriend and save her life Nick Campbell is the definition of a real life hero and took a bullet for his girlfriend in order to protect her. Unfortunately, he was hit with a bullet that went in his arm and ribs (broke a few) and caused him to get a bruised lung. We are just trying to raise some money to help his family to pay for the bills of this unexpected tragedy, and would like to be able to help him as soon as possible. Any donation counts and is very much appreciated! God bless you all!

We are three of his close friends trying to help his family with the unexpected surgery costs as well as other medical costs like medicines and rehab. We are from Henderson, Nevada, and are close friends and play basketball with Nick.  All donations will be withdrawn and go directly to Jeff & Robyn Campbell (Nick's parents).

We wanted to take time out to express our sincere thanks to each and every one of you for your prayers, kind words, message of support and donations. The support and generosity which we have witnessed since the incident has been overwhelming and truly touching and will never be forgotten. I would especially like to thank David, Nick W. and Justin for setting this up on Nick’s behalf. Nick is extremely lucky to have such caring and selfless friends.
A quick update on Nick’s condition: He was released from UMC last Thursday (10/5) and is now at home recovering. Although he is currently experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort in his shoulder/upper chest area, we are expecting a full recovery. In fact, he was able to attend school this week, take the PSAT (not very happy about that) and went to physical therapy for the first time yesterday (10/12). In that regard, we/he were extremely fortunate.
The bigger challenge that lies ahead for Nick, Liv and all of the other victims/attendees from that night, are the emotional/mental scars/issues that they now will have to deal with in regards to the sights, sounds and events of that night. In Nick’s case, he still has problems sleeping through the night and is easily startled by sudden movement and loud noises. We hope through counseling, continued support of his friends, family and community, returning to normal routines and the passage of time, that these effects will eventually subside.
Prior to this tragic event, our son/brother, Nick was an extremely caring, thoughtful, intelligent and kind young man with a bright future ahead of him. I can promise you that we/he will not allow this senseless act to change or alter those traits nor have any negative effect on him or his future. For if we/he allow that, then we/he will have also allowed that “piece of sh_t”, Stephen Paddock to have succeeded in his twisted mission and that can never be allowed to happen. To the contrary, Nick’s focus will be directed to all of the positives actions/reactions (such as yours) that we have witnessed since the incident and we fully expect that Nick will use those thoughts, words and experiences as motivation and drive to continue on his path to success and make a positive contribution to his community moving forward.
I really wish that I could meet each and every one of you personally, shake your hand/give you a hug and look you in the eye so you can see how sincerely grateful we, as a family, are to your responses. Again, thanks so much for thinking of Nick and reaching out. If I can ever be of any assistance or if you would like any additional updates, please feel free to contact me via email: JCamp88@aol.com (yes, I still have AOL!) or on my cell at (702) 208-7418.

Sincerely,
Jeff, Robyn & Ryan Campbell
