My name is Nicholas Bybel and I have been playing tennis for as long as I can remember. Whenever my two older sisters would be playing with my parents I would try to sneak onto the court as much as possible to hit. I fell in love with this incredible sport at a young age and at 24 I am just as passionate about tennis as I was then. I can’t wait to get back out there this year and compete internationally.  Traveling for tennis can be very expensive which is why I am asking for your support in helping me pursue my dream of climbing the ATP rankings.

These funds will go towards my traveling expenses such as stringing costs, housing, food, and airfare. Playing tennis professionally has been my full time job since graduating from Bucknell University with an Economics degree in May of 2016. At Bucknell University I was a two time conference player of the year, rookie of the year, member of the doubles team of the year, four time first team all-conference, as well as the singles and combined victories record holder. So far in my transition from college tennis to my professional career I have acquired 5 ATP singles points and 24 ATP doubles points winning the Sri Lanka F1 Futures.

I will be starting my 2018 professional tournament schedule on February 26th in India and will be competing in four tournaments. My goal for this year is to play over 25 tournaments and with your help I will be able to do so. If you choose to help support my endeavors you will be able to follow my results and travel experiences on this page which I will be posting photos, training videos, and writing blogs about my career.

Thank you for taking your time to read a brief summary of my life and for considering helping fund my dream. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or wish to know more about me and my tennis career.

It has been a while since I posted on here, but I wanted to let everyone know how my last trip went and what my upcoming plans are. I ended up going 5-3 in singles and 2-2 in doubles for my 3 tournaments in India. The competition was very tough with all 5 of my wins coming against ATP ranked players. I qualified for my first two tournaments but unfortunately didn't come away with any points. In the third tournament I lost in the final round of qualies to a very good player from India who was playing well for all three events. Doubles I made quarters in week 2 and 3 but the way that the system is set up is that you don't get any ATP points until you make the semis. I was disappointed in not making any points this trip but the quality matches I played gave me confidence for the remainder of this year. After that quick recap here are my plans for the next 12 weeks. I am currently in Miami training and getting ready to play a prize money tournament in Plantation, Florida. After I finish up with the tournament I am heading back to Hilton Head for my final days of preparation until I set off for Vietnam on the 23rd. I will be competing in 3 tournaments in Vietnam then I will be heading to Singapore for 2. I will take a short break in Singapore for a week then will finish off my trip with 3 tournaments in Sri Lanka. It will be nice heading back to Sri Lanka because that is where I will be defending 3 singles points and 24 doubles points including a title. I can't thank everyone enough for the support you guys have given me it has been able to keep this dream alive. As always feel free to message me if you want to hear more about the countries I have visited and what it's like to be on tour.

After a solid 6 week preseason at Van Der Meer Tennis Academy I am ready to start my tournaments for the year. I am traveling with two other players, Harris Trismen and Jarryd Woog, whom both were training with me at VDM for the four tournaments in India. It took us roughly 30 hours of travel to get to the first tournament in Bhubaneswar, but after 3 flights, 2 ubers, and 1 shuttle we finally arrived. My body is still adjusting to the time change, but with the first tournament starting tomorrow I feel more then ready to go and can't wait to compete. The weather is supposed to be in the high 90s/low 100s during the next four weeks which is going to be a bit warmer then what I am used to haha, but I am looking forward to the challenge. Will keep you all updated with my progress in the tournament. Thanks again to everyone that has helped me keep this dream alive.
