#TeamSarah: Help Sarah Fight Cancer

In March 2016, after several months of unexplained severe back pain, our dear friend Sarah was diagnosed with a Stage IV metastatic neuroendocrine tumor, a rare type of cancer. This cancer has spread to the lymph nodes in her abdomen and back, causing a great deal of back pain and nausea. She started chemotherapy this week and they have been traveling long distance to Boston for medical expertise. She and her husband Mehrtash are the parents of 3 girls, ages 8, 5, and almost 1. Everyone who knows Sarah will agree that she is a wonderfully fun, patient and creative mom. Mehrtash is a public school teacher.
Let's make sure that money doesn't keep Sarah and family from getting the help they need. We can help them beat this cancer!
We can provide concrete support for Sarah by making sure her family has funds for medical costs, treatment-related travel, and help around the house. We can also offset the cost of extra leave from work that Mehrtash needs to take in order to care for Sarah and family.
