Nepal Flood Victim Relief Fund

The devastating earthquake in 2015 became the cause for the falling of several schools into debris depriving children of education in various remote areas of Nepal. Diyo Nepal was established with an aim to help the earthquake victims and help the fallens to rise again. We have constructed various temporary learning centres for children which includes Jagaran Primary School and Dharmashala Lower Secondary School in Dolakha along with Bhrikuti Secondary School in Nuwakot and Selang Primary School in Sindhupalchowk. Besides, we have also constructed a permanent school with seven rooms, Chandeshwori Secondary School in Nuwakot incorporating new technology, interlocking blocks. The massive flood disaster due to heavy downpour this year (2017) is assumed to be the worst of all the water induced disasters recorded till date in Nepal and has caused submerging of huge amounts of land in eastern terai, displaced thousands. Within two days 33 people are declared dead, many are still missing and the toll is still rising. It’s hard to watch the pictures of our brothers and sisters suffer in social media and television. We are intending to offer relief to the flood victims and our preliminary target is to provide basic needs like food, water, medicine, tents, blankets, mattress and clothes. Please, join hands for this effort. While we are staying warm in our home, our friends are shivering with cold and don’t even have a place for shelter.
