My Journey:
My name Is Benjamin, I live in Brisbane Australia, and I am a long time obsessed Denver Nuggets fan. My journey started when I finished my business degree at university 2 years ago and panicked because I had no idea what career I wanted to pursue. In my heart I wanted to do something fulfilling and true to myself, and after tonnes of trial and error, I focused on what I was passionate about, and then I started this web series called ‘NugSesh’ . NugSesh is a video series in which I review and commentate on Denver Nuggets basketball games, and include funny animated cartoons. I taught myself everything I needed to know about animation and video production, and immediately after releasing the first episode I got much more support than I thought. The support from the fans of ‘NugSesh’ and my love for Denver Nuggets basketball has propelled me to stay on this path of creating and improving my content.
Why Am I starting a GoFundMe Page:
This week on Monday, I came home to find that my house had been broken into and burgled. This has never happened to me. Sadly they had stolen all my equipment including my laptop and back up hard rives (who steals a hardrive!). I had no insurance, and with that equipment they also took a year of work I had put in towards NugSesh, including illustrations, animations, music and videos. The entire content for NugSesh was taken from me, and obviously this has been heart breaking, however I am compelled by the overwhelming support I got from my friends and fans out there to start again, better than before.
I make a lot of personal sacrifices in producing these videos. I usually stay up till the early hours of the day to create these videos because I work another full time job, and presently I do not make any income from these videos. The money raised in this GoFundMe campaign will not only help me to pay for my equipment to be replaced, it will also go towards expanding the NugSesh series, and improving the quality and topics of the video series for the fans.
How much do I need:
The target is $3000 AUD. This is the bare minimum I need to replace the equipment stolen from me (Apple Macbook + Hardrives + Maschine Pads). If I am able to reach out or even go beyond this goal, I promise to you all that I will give you my 100% commitment to creating more ‘NugSesh ’ videos for the fans of Denver Nuggets. These videos will be better than ever, that is a promise, and I will be forever grateful to you.
