As any current or former student at Northwestern can confirm, we are exremely fortunate to have some of the friendliest, hard-working staff that providing our meals every single day. Some students have recently become aware of the taxing hours and insufficient benefits that our dining staff faces, and have sought a way to help. The student body of Northwestern can certainly come together and give these great people the holiday bonus they deserve.
With many affluent students, many generous students, and many students recognizing the underappreciation of the dining staff, it is time for us to show our appreciation for the people who sustain our bodies day in and day out. The proceeds of this fundraiser will be distributed among the employees to help them have the holiday season with their families that they deserve.
If you have plenty of expendable cash, have recently come into some money that you can spare, need to acquire some good karma, or simply want to show apprectiation for some people who have worked very hard on all of our behalf's, I implore you to donate any amount you can, and would be incredibly grateful for any contribution made.
Our goal is to provide a roughly $20 thank you gift to each of the 334 employees, which comes out to slightly over $7,000.

"The NU Dining employees that work in the dining halls are truly incredible. They put up with a lot in terms of their contracts/hours/pay etc., and probably how they're treated on the job as well. Many have families, work multiple jobs, and travel long hours to get to campus. Despite all of this, they are some of the nicest, most caring and positive people I have ever had the pleasure of being around. They are always asking students how they're doing, work with a smile, and treat many of us like their family. The NU Dining staff has truly lifted my view of humanity. Thank you for all that you do, it does not go unnoticed."
