Help M get to NTI!

Hi!
My name's M McKee, and I'm a 20-year old Drama Major at Vassar College. I'm a trans (they/them/theirs pronouns) actor and playwright who's hoping to have a career in theatre. I strive for my art to engage and entertain audiences while also being politically meaningful, and I want my work to help other people.
In November I was honored to get accepted into the spring Advanced Playwriting program at the National Theater Institute, based out of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Connecticut. Working at NTI will help me grow as an artist and a person, and it will be invaluable for my prospects in both graduate theatre programs and a career at large.
Unfortunately, I received the news less than a week ago that Vassar is no longer supporting my plans for studying away. This is because at the end of last semester, my computer broke and I reached a point where I was unable to finish two classes. I went to get help from the Dean of Studies office multiple times and received none. This same office has informed me that I can do NTI, but only if it is without Vassar's support.
This means that I'm suddenly without financial aid but still committed to attend this program, the tuition of which is $25,300. They estimate an additional $400 for books and supplies and $800 for living expenses throughout the semester. These expenses are way more than my family can afford to pay, and so I'm asking for your help.
Any amount is appreciated. Thank you so much!
