Elmira Notre Dame's Robotics team, The Electric Fire - FRC Team #3799, competed in the Finger Lakes Regional Competition on March 16th-18th. After several successful matches leading up to the final rounds, the #3799 Electric Fire Team was selected to be a part of the winning alliance. The team successfully advanced through the quarter, semi and final rounds and clinched the Championship title for the 2017 Finger Lakes Regional FIRST Robotics Competition. The win earned the 19 member team a birth to the FIRST World’s Robotics Competition sponsored by Qualcomm, the weekend of April 26 – 29th held in St. Louis, Missouri! We are now champions of the Finger Lakes Region along with our alliance partner teams: Team 191 from Rochester, NY – The X-Cats, and Team 3015 from Spencerport, NY – Ranger Robotics. Now we are on our way to compete in the FRC Championships in St. Louis, MO, on April 26th - 29th and we NEED your help. This was an unexpected victory for our small team, and we are in need of funds to travel to St. Louis, to represent our team and our area. Some of the expenses we need help with are: Bus Transportation, Hotel Costs, and Food expenses. We are so proud of all of our team members, as well as the teams we competed against. Just for participating, all teams and their members are eligible to qualify for College Scholarships.
