NDEC App

1804 Society is an Emmanuel College organization that is representative of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur (SNDs). The SNDs were founded in 1804 by Sister Julie Billiart, hence 1804 Society. For more information on SNDs, here is a link to their site: http://www.sndden.org/ . Our organization is devoted to living out the mission of the SNDs through many different facets. As a member of this society, one of our requirements is a comprehensive senior project that encompasses their mission and a passion we have.

My senior project is developing an app for the Notre Dame Education Center (NDEC) math program for HiSet testing. Woah, that was a mouthful! Let me explain, NDEC is a school for many different kinds of learners, English second language (ESL), HiSet testing prep (formerly known as the GED), citizenship test prep, and much more. Here is a link to their site: http://www.ndecboston.org/ . I am specifically focused on their mathematics HiSet testing program, because that is where my passion lays. I am developing a math app for their program.

The math app will be an all encompassing, free app that will provide a supplementary tools for the people in this program. I am working out the details for what will be in the app, but I am using Appie Pi as the platform for developing and publishing the app.  Here i am reaching out to my friends and family to donate to this project. If you have a dollar, five dollars, or any spare change it will help make a difference in the lives of many people!
