Why do we need help???

We want this event to be available for everyone, so it's completely FREE to attend! However it isn't free to host. We want the community to come together in one space to celebrate everyone's talents. MuralFest is not just for professional artists or "artsy" people. It is about bringing together everyone with all different kinds of artistic talents, from simple to complex, toddler to senior, even those who just like to look at or appreciate art.  Funding is just a reality of life to be able to host such an incredible event for our incredible community. Any additional funding will be used to host more community events centered around the arts!

Where The Idea Came From
The inspiration for MuralFest 2015 came through a collaboration between the reBOLD Binghamton Crew (Binghamton University students) and Binghamton Community leaders, such as QuarterYellow Studios and The Department of Public Art, who recognize the power of mural art to transform communities, outside and in.

Binghamton has incredible people doing incredible things. reBOLD is about bringing together these leaders to create one giant community brightspot that will emit vibrancy into all corners of the city. It’s about recognizing the extensive talents within this area, and bringing them all together to collectively create our city; to build our city’s identity one brushstroke at a time. The paint is all on the palette.

This community dreams of being vibrant from all angles, including economically, educationally, socially, environmentally, and artistically. MuralFest 2015 will showcase to the world just how artistically vibrant Binghamton is, and will continue to be. We all want to live in a vibrant Binghamton, and so we must all contribute any way we can to create a vibrant Binghamton.

Event Details:
Sunday, April 26th, 2015.  12-6pm at PeaceMaker's Stage.
