Mr Jackson's journey to recovery
I am a neglect rescue case in Wimer Oregon. I am very sick. I have severe tapeworm, skin disease and Lyme disease. We will know more after MGF takes me to their Dr. After I heal and get better I can be adopted out to a forever home. Please help me.

Hi my name is Mr Jackson. Dr's think I am 10 years old. I am a Border Collie mix (DNA Tested). Full DNA report will be given to my adopted family as well as my complete health records. Here is my story from my POV.

I have suffered for years with my skin disease; sometimes I was not even recognizable as being a dog. I suffered a long time without any intervention or help. I come from a very large pack of dogs and none of us were properly cared for.
04/18/2016 My shrunken, shriveled up, scarred up ear.
Due to nothing we animals did wrong a couple of weeks ago my owner up and abandoned us. Left us with no one to feed and water us. People came to the property to clean it up and they are left to deal with all kinds of animal and human mess to clean up.
I was going to be taken down to the Drs on April 17th 2016 and be put to sleep due to my years of suffering and horrible condition. Somebody thought to call Miss Gabriel Foundation to ask for help. Even though MGF does not normally take dogs, not from shelters, they wanted to drive down and see me. Keep in mind they are already full with medical needs rescues. I was only a few miles away from them.

MGF saw me and my condition and thought maybe they could help me. If not, they could hospice me and show me the nurturing and love I have always deserved but never got. I went to MGF on April 17th 2016 to finally get the help I need and deserve.

I saw my Dr on April 18th 2016 to start my diagnosis and treatment plans. I have high white blood count in my blood due to my skin disease. I am anemic from the blood and ooze leaving my skin. I have advanced skin disease more than likely from allergies but also could be from the Lyme Disease I tested positive for. I do not have heartworm but I have tapeworm. Dr says that is why I am so skinny. My abdomen and chest are clear. My ears and skin are infected. I am bleeding and oozing pus from my skin. My nails are very long and they need trimmed over time to shorten them. I am missing a lot of my fur. I am full of scaly skin which is all scarred up from long term disease. I started on heartgard and bravecto today as well as antibiotics to treat my Lyme Disease. Dr will fix my skin at a later time. I started to receive all my vaccines as if it were the first time I have ever had them. Dr says in 2 weeks we can check my WBC again to see if I can be neutered ASAP. I am negative for mites and fleas.

On May 20th 2016 I saw my Dr for a vaccination and medicine. Dr says my hair is coming back and I look good at my current weight.

On July 20th 2016 I saw my Dr for surgery today. One broken bad tooth was removed plus the separated roots were also removed. 8 tumors were removed; some went down on their own. He was neutered and micro chipped.

On August 11th 2016 I saw my Dr to address concerns my new family has. I may still have underlying allergies from unknown sources causing some itching. After surgery I was itching more than ever and developed a couple of rashes that did go away. Dr verified my skin is looking good still and I am ready for my new life.
