Moto Guild is a haven for the motorcycle community of Chicago to work, learn, and hang out with like-minded people. It is a motorcycle workshop on the West Side where anyone can work on their motorcycle or scooter, or take a workshop and learn how.

On July 12, 2018 Moto Guild Chicago was a victim of fire by arson. The cause of the fire was from a car that was stolen earlier that evening and involved in a crime and then later abandoned next to the building. The car was then set ablaze a burned into the building subsequently setting the shop on fire.

Moto Guild is owned by Tony Riccardi, one to the most genuine, most knowledgeable, and friendliest people I know. He would go out of his way to help anyone no matter how small or big the problem was. Tony was in the process of moving Moto Guild to a new shop at 833 N. Albany in Humboldt Park and was set to open in July. He and a couple volunteers from the shop moved all the motorcycles, tools, equipment, art, displays, and other items over the course of six weeks only to lose so much due to an act of evil and ignorance.

Please help me raise money not just for Moto Guild but also for Tony, a pillar in the Chicago community and for EVERYONE on two wheels.

Learn. Fix. Ride.

Well we purchased a sea container to store Moto Guild capital equipment. A good place to repair and replace items. Looking for new place to open and operate. 2018 riding season has been lost however we may have some storage options for you this winter. Another motorcycle shop is helping out and will winterize your bike and have it ready in the spring. Give us a call at the shop (voicemail, there is no shop yet) and we’ll make it happen.

Well she was good to me for many many years. We rode over mountain passes together, through national parks, survived wind & thunderstorms together, got me home many of late nights in the city. Only to be lost to a senseless crime of arson. She will be missed dearly.
RIP 2007 - 2018.
Tony

Update on arson fire damage to Moto Guild. First we would like to thank all of our customers, friends and family not just for the money but more importantly for the supportive words and encouragement we received. It really made all the difference is the world and I personally do not think I've would have been able to consider rebuilding without all the encouragement.
After way to long of time and paper work the independent fire inspector, insurance adjusters and others have completed their investigations and inspections. We are waiting on the final tally of inventory report and funds from the insurance company to calculate our next move. Moto Guild is weighing out options to stay at the current location or move operations elsewhere. It very difficult to go into the current shop everyday and see the devastation to property and inventory. It's like a camp fire the next day. Ashes upon ashes, when you open the doors debris fly's outside into the air and you wonder what parts or items the ashes used to be. It's everywhere. Final decisions will be made soon.
