Monica's Run for Temple Elephants

Both wild and captive Elephants are in danger due to poaching, habitat destruction, human conflict, and exploitation for money. Captive Asian Elephants in India, known as Temple Elephants, are subjected to torture in the name of culture, religion, and financial gain. These intelligent animals are deprived of even basic necessities. Film maker Sangita Iyer is producing the educational documentary, "Gods in Shackles", to expose the extreme suffering these elephants face daily. Please help me support Sangita in the completion of this important documentary!  
For every $100 raised, I will run 1 mile!
My goal is to raise $2,000 by the end of October, and therefore complete a 20 mile run (date and location of the run to be determined - most likely early November!).  
If I raise $3,000 my husband agreed to run the last 10 miles with me!
