Miss Bree's journey to recovery

Donation protected
I am a neglect rescue case from Medford Oregon. I have a severe skin disease, ear infections, overgrown nails and I am emaciated. When I am done with my treatments I can be adopted out to a forever home. Finding out what is wrong with me and the treatments will be the expensive part. Please help me.

Hi my name is Miss Bree. Dr's think I am 3 years old. I am an American Staffordshire Terrier (DNA Tested). Full DNA report will be given to my adopted family as well as my complete health records. Here is my story from my POV.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
A good samaritan found me in the area of Grandview Ave & Crater Lake Ave. He picked me up and took me too Jackson County Animal Control on February 24th 2017.
02/24/2017 My photo at Animal Control.

Animal Control spent the next two weeks trying to assess me as I am freighted of humans. A volunteer at the shelter took an interest in me and spent time trying to reach me. Through the hard work of this man, this past week the shelter staff saw enough improvement in me to keep trying to save me.

People don't know how much these volunteers at the shelters contribute to saving lives. I for one am alive and thankful for that volunteer who took the time to help me.

The shelter staff called Miss Gabriel Foundation on March 9th 2017 to see if they had any room to take me in. MGF did agree to take me in. This same day, the man who had been working with me, took me to the shelters Dr where they got a general idea of my medical condition. MGF likes to know if I was contagious or not as they have an isolation room for the safety of my health and the health of their large pack at home since some are also sick rescues like me.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I am in need of ongoing medical attention so on March 10th 2017 MGF picked me up and took me straight over to my new Dr to develop a treatment plan.
03/10/2017 On my way to my new Dr and then MGF.

At MGF they will foster me and give me the 24/7 medical care I will need. They have a motto and it is "Giving a second chance to dogs who never had a first chance." MGF needs your help to make this happen.
03/10/2017 I am pretty raw and smell real bad.

I saw my Dr (Dr Liana) on March 10th 2017. She has a medical plan she believes will help me.

I am emaciated and my toe nails are long and starting to twist. They need to be cut, but my quick's have overgrown too so I cannot cut them too much at a time or I will bleed. My skin has a severe disease where I lost a lot of my hair; I smell very badly, my body is covered in scars and scabs from head to toe. My skin oozes blood and pus with lichenified skin. I am also suffering from kennel cough but we need to treat my skin disease first. I lack in muscles and am unstable with my back legs from pain. All of these are very painful and uncomfortable.

My white blood cell is high and my protein in my blood is high due to my many long term infections. Both my ears are infected and I am very fearful of humans.

I had some x-rays done, vaccinations given, blood work ordered and tested for certain diseases.

Dr says I am a brand new dog emotionally already and my healing is happening very nicely. I am also younger than originally thought. I was given another 30 days of antibiotics and my second set of boosters. Dr will see me again in two weeks.

My nails were trimmed, My ears were looked at. I got more medications. I also got a microchip. I am having some dry skin from the medicated shampoos and my skin is turning a little red. I will get better but only under medical treatments. My Dr visits may be frequent, at first, due to my severe condition. Diagnosing can also be costly. I hope you can find it in your hearts and pocket books to please donate to my rehabilitation and recovery. 100% of these donations go into my care.

Donations are welcomed and are always needed for the veterinary/daily care of sick dogs like me. By your donations, the neglected cases get to come here into MGF for a second chance.

I did not want to get this sick. I wanted to be loved and cared for. My previous owners let me get this way. My medical bills will be ongoing during my treatments to get better. The hope is to not need a medical plan after I heal and repair. I want to live and I want to find my fur-ever family. It will take a village to help me. I need your help please.

How To Help Miss Bree

Please consider making a small tax deductible donation for my medical care. Also help get the word out and share my plea. Without your help, MGF cannot rescue more like me. Community donations are their only source of funding.

100% of these donations will go to my medical cost. Should my medical bills get paid off, it will go towards my care and feeding that the Howell's are currently paying for out of their personal funds. They are unpaid volunteers. This foundation is their way to help dogs like Miss Gabriel Howell.

Please consider signing up for a $1 or more, monthly reoccurring donation.

Thank you!
