Mighty Lions Band at Carnegie Hall

$3,025 of $80,200 goal

Raised by 2 people in 3 months
The Mighty Lions Band consists of musically gifted middle school students who will make history by being the first school band invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in NYC under the banner of the City of Stonecrest.  The symphonic band is seeking to raise $80,200 for their trip in March of 2018 which includes transportation, winter performance and practice attire, meals, lodging, activities, and any associated fees.  All funds are due by February 15, 2018.

More than 60 students qualified to be in this Symphonic Band representation, which means that they have to play at a Difficulty Level of 4, with the highest being Level 6 (professional).  Quite a feat for these exceptionally talented, hardworking, young people!

Throughout the year, these same students have performed with their high school marching band on a weekly basis as a part of the Official Drumline for the Atlanta Falcons, at the 2017 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA, and at collegiate events.  The Mighty Lions have consistently maintained Superior Ratings of 4 out of 4 for District and Nationwide music festivals.  Many of our students are also rewarded yearly by qualifying to be a part of the District Honor Band as well.

All donations are tax-deductible, so we hope that you will find it in your heart to make a donation to these extremely hardworking, talented students at the Patron, Sponsor or Treasured Donor level, but any donation is appreciated as they begin theirJourney to Carnegie Hall!
