In June of 2014, Michelle faced a tough diagnosis of breast cancer.  Treatment soon began and is still ongoing.  Michelle has had some ups and downs with repeated surgeries and prolonged misdiagnosis.  

She has completed one round of intense chemo and six weeks of radiation. She will continue chemo treatments for the next year. Because of this intensity, 'Grandma Boo Boo' (as her grandkids call her) could not perform her normal duties as a nurse at Hinsdale Hospital.

Currently, she is undergoing her second round of chemo and is actually growing some of her hair back.  The grandkids tell her that they 'like her new hair cut'.

Due to being out of work for the past ten months, increasing medical bills, and the temporary loss of her job and insurance, Michelle would very much appreciate financial support to get through these hard times. 

Michelle is very grateful for her improving health, however it has become very difficult to manage her finances. Michelle will remain positive with the help of her friends, 5 children, and especially the 12 grandkids.
