Medical Costs for Cancer Survivor

Donation protected
Many know, but for those who don't, It was January 2013 when Mardi began her battle with 3 separate forms of cancer, simultaneously. The most difficult of which being stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Mardi fought a very bleak diagnosis with more setbacks than one should ever have to endure. She spent months on end living in Smilow Cancer Hospital, at times unable to walk and bound to a wheelchair, eventually becoming bedridden receiving constant oxygen while chemo complications threatened her life further than the cancers themselves.

Diagnosed with a possible 3 weeks life expectancy, she beat all the odds. She has beaten them several times over. In 2016 she has been in remission for over an entire year now. This is amazing! However, the toll on her life has been significant. Mardi was forced to sell her vehicle and lose her apartment in the early months of her diagnosis. She has been unable to return to her job as an esthetician, and rerecieves just over five hundred dollats a month, which breaks down to a single one hundref and seven dollers per week from disability. Because of this hardship, she has yet to have been financially able to move her children back home with her, because she is in no way able to afford a housing with enough space, nor being able provide for the various needs of growing children. She is thankful to her patents for allowing her children to be with them while she remains an active parent at their home several times throughout the week, but its not fair to her, or to her children, that want amd deserbe to be together. Especially after the several near death circumstances they havejhad to struggle through while being kept apart the morjority of the time, due to strict rules at Smilow Cancer Hospital, to protect patient health.

In recent months her insurance, which previously covered all medical expenses, has changed. Mardi was forced to go on medicare which has many costs and fees whuch were previously covered by Medicaid. Her appointments have been costing weekly ammounts up to fifty dollors or more in copays and medication costs, even with use of discount cards and state funded programs. This has been devistating to her and her family.

Receny engaged, Mardi has had help wuth this burden. But one man trying to support and provide for their basic living costs as well as paying toward several medication costs and copays, it is nearly impossible. The cost of a small wedding is even out of reach for this woman that has truly suffered more than anyone ever should... As well as the opportunity to reunite her family merely because it is unaffordable to achive a proper living space adequet for two growing daughters.

Most recent medical bills and stacked up copay costs that have also been billed, are now at an approximate total of five thosand dollars. There are additional bills past due in the amount of two thousand+ dollars, which is what we hope to raise though this fund raiser.

Please look into your heart and help support this cause for a woman that has fought for every breath, even through death on two occasions. She us a survivor. Its unfair for her to have to suffer because she chose to not give up.

There is also a direct link posted below to make immediate donatidons that will reach her directly through paypal for expedited use. If you prefer to donate that way, please send her your information so that she can respond to your generosity.
