Mestre Almiro is being forced out of his location on SE Gladstone St. in Portland. Metre Almiro and the Bahia Brazil Art Center have been at this location in Portland for the past 12 years! Now the landlord is forcing him out with a nocause eviction. Please help us raise money to fight this action save the Bahia Brazil Art Center for Portland.

His dream to bring Brazillian art and culture to Portland, Oregon
For 30 years the Bahia Brazil Art Center has brought Portland communities togather through art, dance and culture.
BBAC has provides classes for children and adults
Provides space for local artists, performers and teachers
Sponsors many great Brazillian artists and performers to perform in Portland.
Organizes trips to Brazil for Oregonians
And travels to local Portland School to teach kids Capoeira
Much of the money for the school comes out of Mestre Almiro's own pockets.
Almiro has worked graveyard and weekend shifts for the past 20 years
And taught Capoeira during the day to keep the school's doors open
With help from the local community Almiro has been able to keep the BBAC going.
Now we need your help.
Rising rents are threatening to close the school a 30 year old Portland instituttion.
Our goal is to raise 2 months rent to say Thank You for 30 years of service!
