Open Heart Surgery For Baby B...
On December 06, 2018 Kindra & Merced confirmed that Kindra was pregnant, they were both very excited by the news! Then on December 23rd the happy couple were told that they would be expecting not one bundle of joy but two, Yes TWINS! Two little Blessings
As the day of the Big Baby reveal party approached they anxiously waited to find out if they would be welcoming boys or girls. Kindra & Merced both have beautiful daughters from previous relationships, so they were hoping for boys but would feel equally blessed to add 2 more girls to the family. You can imagine though the excitement & joy when the balloon popped and out came blue ribbons! BOYS!!! I wish that moment had been recorded as their faces and faces of their family & friends was priceless! Tears of joy, excitement & love was evident in every face. Followed by lots of hugs. It was so sweet.
Unfortunately on March 29th during an ultrasound at Maternal Fetal Medicine that Joy turned to sadness and uncontrollable fear as the doctor informed them that Baby B has a heart condition known of Tetralogy of Fallot (Ventricular Septal defect) and would soon after birth require Open Heart Surgery. After meeting with a Pediatric Cardiologist they were told they will have to travel to Seattle to have this life saving surgery, as it is not offered here in Idaho. Along with the open heart surgery he will also have to have his Pulmonary Artery widened as the Aorta is over compensating the output. They will have at least a three week stay as Baby B will be in a medically induced Coma for about a week after surgery and then healing time. They have a long road ahead.
Kindra presently isn't able to work as being high risk throughout this pregnancy. So money is of course very tight. Thankfully she is able to receive Medicaid to help with most of the medical expenses. If baby b was able to receive this surgery locally they might be financially okay. However that is not an option. I wanted to start this Go Fund Me to hopefully raise some money to help with this truly loving and generous couple with travel expenses, lodging, food and lost wages so dad (Merced) can be with them in Seattle and also caring for Baby A while Baby B is in the hospital.
Please, Please Help me support Kindra & Merced so their concentration can be where it needs to be on these 2 beautiful baby boys and getting baby B healthy to come home with his family.
