Help! MeconoMorph Outgrew its Homes
My name is Viktor Genel. I invite you to be a part of a new art concept. MeconoMorph is an evolving form created entirely from business cards that are interlocked to create a fluid, 3D configuration representing Art, Math, and Business.
Reminiscent of Richard Buckminster’s renowned geodesic dome, MeconoMorph is currently a traveling exhibit, collecting new cards and interacting with its audience.

To sustain its unprecedented growth, we need people to invest in the MeconoMorph’s well-being.
Be a part of this infinitely rising Art/Science/Business project. It's growing well, but we’ve hit a major obstacle: the installations have no place to live, and consequently it may cease to grow.
MeconoMorph is a structure that has a chance to become an artistic landmark if we can clear those obstacles. It’s suffering because it outgrew all previous venues.
We need help with two things: your business cards, and your ideas for locations.

Well, what about outside? There’s plenty of space outside… except the MeconoMorph can stay outside only for a short time when the weather is friendly. Galleries are financially prohibitive (and probably not a long-term solution anyway, as a natural consequence of the MeconoMorph’s nature). 
How Does It Work?
On the eve of Richard Buckminster 'Bucky' Fuller's 120th birthday, a new concept mixing several disciplines into an evolving art form pays homage to Fuller's great gift to mankind. Fuller's concept of the geodesic dome inspired the creation of Mecons, the individual pieces that make up the project. These units are structurally sound building blocks created by connecting business cards. Contributors can have their cards formed into basic 'bricks' called Mecons or receive simple instructions on how to create them on their own. These pieces are infinite in their growth potential as well as utterly unique. The installation is still searching for its permanent home. It is currently a traveling exhibit, collecting new cards and interacting with its audience.
The Sacred RatioThe choosing of business cards as the primary constructive piece in this installation is ideal for creating an interactive experience based on solid mathematical principles. Standard business cards are 3.5 by 2 inches that when folded diagonally produce angles of 30 and 60 degrees. This Sacred Ratio can be found in vesica piscis and circle of life, pieces that took advantage of its powerful potential. This form allows each unique piece to build upon the ones before it in an endlessly scalable creation that evolves over time. Due to their perfect dimensions, each Mecon can be created without using cuts, tools, or any instruments.
This is a feat that cannot be achieved with any other approach! Like coral deposits brought in on waves, each new piece adds to the overall structure, continuing the process.

Send me your business cards to add new life to MeconoMorph! Spread the word and get others to donate their business cards. If you feel adventurous, learn how to build Mecons and donate them to the project. You can even see how the installation goes.
Most of all, as MeconoMorph grows, it needs new homes to inhabit. The fundraising goal goes towards ending its homeless status – if you know of a venue or can contribute financially to it, the MeconoMorph will continue to live!
MeconoMorph is more of a process than an object
As with any living thing, cells die and decay, as do the cards in the project. As normal wear deteriorates the original form, new cards are needed to replace the missing ones. This provides a perfect opportunity for new contributions to continue the cycle of replacement.
An enigmatic creation
MeconoMorph takes advantage of the powerful forces of math and science. It is a revolutionary concept bridging the gap between artists and the public. Everyone can participate in it and advance through it. When witnessed in person, the installation produces a stream of energy so powerful that it can be physically felt. As word spreads, the movement could easily unite limitless individuals, creating many stories woven together into one powerful stream.
