May Pen High School is a noble Adventist institution that has been changing the lives of students on the island of Jamaica. Helping to educate students to the highest standards preparing them to be model students, raising them up to have respect for and tolerance of mankind, the dignity of labour, love of nature and country and an undying thirst for knowledge.
The Teaching staff at May Pen High School is one that is dedicated and committed to the role they play in the lives they mould for the future. They work tirelessly to ensure that every child is nurtured to achieve their optimum best, they ensure they are always providing stimulating and engaging activities for students to excel as well as creating healthy relationships with students and parents to help create quality learning environments both at home and at school.
The students at May Pen High School come from varying socio-economic backgrounds and bring with them different experiences which add to the diversity of the school community. Students work hard at May Pen High School, even with limited resources they aim high and excel with the support they receive daily from teachers and supporting staff. For students to continue to excel they need advanced and appropriate teaching and learning resources that will help them to be in receipt of the best possible education they deserve.
As a result I would like to raise a minimum sum of £1000.00 or more that will be donated to May Pen High School in order to provide a new state of the art Computer Laboratory where students can have access to the best resources that will enhance their ability to achieving more progressive grades.
The funds raised will be exclusively used to purchase new computers that will be installed at May Pen High School where students can have better access to learning material online as well as access to computers that they can use to complete coursework and projects.
We are therefore soliciting all the support we can get from past students, friends, families, investors in education, businesses and organisations who would be happy to contribute to a cause that will make a difference in the lives of students who will appreciate the support.
The funds we are hoping to raise is urgently needed so that Students who are in the stages of completing external examinations can benefit from the installation of a new Computer Lab.
Your contribution and support towards this cause will be greatly and immensely appreciated and once our target is met and the new computers are installed you will be able to view pictures of it’s completion through the May Pen High Past Student’s Facebook page run by Mrs Peters, PA to the Principal, Mr Winston Preddie, at May Pen High School.
