Marieka Waites Medical Fund

I am Marieka Waites, I am married to my husband Eric who serves in the US Navy, we live in ST Augustine FL with 4 dogs.
I attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach and i am persuing a BS in Aeronautical Sciences so that one day I may work as a Commercial Pilot.

I was in a car accident on March 29th 2016
I was hit drivers side, and was crushed in my car.
it took firefighters over an hour to get me out of my car with the jaws of life. My car was totaled. Then i was flown to UF Health in Jacksonville.
There i learned my Sacrum was fractured, i had multiple pelvic fractures, my hips were broken, and my joints in my hips were torn.



I had surgery, where they put two 10inch screws into my hips to stablize my joints and bones.
I spent a week in the hospital recovering before they sent me home
With all these injuries i am wheelchair bound durring the healing process. Which will be about 6-8 months



All this unfortunatly come with bills.
Physical Therapy Bills
Ocupational Therapy Bills
Cost of hospital fees
Surgery
My loss in Tuition
Lawyer Fees
New vehicle 
Etc...





I also had to withdraw from school so i lost alot of tuition money.
We are currently $200,000 dollars in debt and know the insurnce will not cover everything.



Ive never been the kind to ask for help, But we have learned that we cant do it all on our own.

Anything really helps. Any contribution means the world to us. Hopfully we can get our lives back together and back on track.
