Chasing the Dream - Stock Car Racing

Donation protected

Im a long time racer who's always dreamed of making a name for myself in the stock car racing world but I'm not Jimmy Johnson or Dale Earnhardt ! Big Nascar Names Like Earnhardt, Johnson, Petty, Waltrip and Shrader didnt just fall out out of the sky onto tracks with winning race cars. They Came from small home town tracks mostly racing dirt on saturday nights and overcoming huge obstacles and eventually landing rides in nascar. Today nascar is is all corporate and unless some multi billion dollar corporation is backing you, its just a dream that few will achive.  I love racing with every ounce of who I am but my name is not Earnhardt or Johnson but Leonard Manos. My racing experience dates back to 1996 when a fellow employee started building a race car in the tow yard shop I worked for. I took an interest in what he was doing and began helping with what I could and spending time working and building the car with him and a couple others. As a tow truck driver I was asked to haul the car to the local race track and that was the first time I had ever been to a stock car race. I knew right then that stock car racing was for me. I spent many years helping out various racers and crewing on a variety of race cars before finally getting my try behind the wheel of a bomber stock car at ElCajon Speedway. That was all I needed to continue my quest to become a short track stock car racer and  never looked back. My racing experience has landed me several top 5 and top 10 finishes but that 1st place win had always eluded me untill march 15th when I was able to drive off with my first 1st place win at Cocopah Speedway locate in Somerton Az.  My 2014 racing season at cocopah Speedway started out great with us winning 3 out of our first four points races and finishing 3rd in the IMCA Winter nationals, but on our 4th race of the season I experienced a mechanical failure that caused the throttle on my IMCA Hobby stock car to stick sending me and my car full speed into a concrete barrier destroying my car. Im currently building a new car for the 2015 points season in the chase for a Championship but Im in desperate need of sponsors willing to help fund our racing team. I work hard to promotoe my sponsors at the track and through serveral channels including website links placed on our website, facebook pages, social media, team t-shits, promotional givewaways, company and personal logos highly visible on our #48 IMCA Hobby stock car. Becoming a sponsor is as simple as adding photos to facebook. Im asking everyone both who know me and fans alike to share my link with companies and other groups.  It only takes a couple of the right people to make big things happen. please share my link as I search for sponsors to make our up-coming season a championship winner: Thank You http://www.gofundme.com/ManosMotorSports
