Mangok Bol - Rescue Abducted Children

$36,421 of $40,000 goal

Hi All!

My name is Hannah. 15 years ago Bol and I went to college together at the University of New Hampshire. We've remained close friends ever since! I set up this gofundme to help Bol fund his efforts to rescue his nieces and nephews. Funds received are sent securely, through Western Union, to Bol. Thank you all for the amazing support you have provided over the last few years!

3 of the 4 abducted children, Makuei Mangok,  Ajoh Mangok and Anyieth Mangok, have been recovered and brought to safety. The funds that continue to come in will help support these orphaned children (now living with aunts and uncles - both of their parents, Bol's brother and sister-in-law, were murdered in the attack of Kolnyang). Bol is directly supporting these three children by providing food, clothing, medical fees and school fees.

Bol's niece Abiei Mangok is still missing. Funds are also going to continued efforts to get her back. https://blogs.brandeis.edu/nieceeffort/

Thank you over and over for you incredible support! Please keep Abiei in your thoughts and prayers.

Hannah

It has now been 3 years since Anyieth and Makuei
were rescued and returned to their extended family. They are both doing well. Mangok Bol continues to support them with school fees, clothing, and medical bills. Thank you all for the love you have shown these two children, and all of the rescued children. Mangok Bol is still holding out hope that one day his final missing niece will be returned to the family. The team on the ground is in touch and are positive about the effort.

Dear Friends, we would like to share with you the pictures of my nieces. This is a transitional journey of their lives since they were recovered about two years. The girls and their brother who is not in the pictures are doing well and attending schools. In the pictures are Ajoh Makech now 11 years( in pink uniform, Nairobi, Kenya) living with my sister. The other niece in the picture is Anyieth Makech now 9 years old(in yellow dress) and living in Koboko Uganda with my mom and my other sister. As always, thank you very much for being part of their recovery!
Last but not least, we're still pushing every single day for the return of their sister, Abiei Makech, 13 years old and who is still being held by her captors.

It's Giving Tuesday! Please see the message below from Mangok Bol:

Dear Friends, we would like to share with you the pictures of the girls. This is over a year after they were returned to us last year. The girls and their brother who is not in the pictures are transitioning back to normal life well. In the pictures are Ajoh Makech(with her friend in Nairobi, Kenya) and Anyieth Makech in Koboko Uganda. Thank you very much for being part of their recovery!
Nevertheless, we're still pushing every single day for the return of their sister, Abiei Makech who is still being held by her captors.

Please help. No amount is too small. My brothers family is in financial assistance as he leaves behind 4 young daughters. The eldest one needs to go to college and has picked up extra shifts to make it. They’re not doing so well . Can find the campaign under my name

I have had the pleasure of meeting Mangok on a few occasions and am deeply impressed by him - his humility and gentleness belie the resilience and courage with which he has confronted and overcome formidable challenges. I wish him every success in rescuing his niece.
