"Thank you for sponsoring my incredible experience to the best field trip ever, Washington D.C. I loved the morning I got selected. My words were "yay," and "thank you," The smile on my face was bigger than Texas." - D.L.

"Many people don't know this, but at the beginning of the year, I was homeless. My family and I had nowhere to go. My mom was very sick and couldn't work. I am telling you not so you cry, but so you get it- what you've done for me." - J.S.

"I'm happy you pointed out the photo of me at the engraved wall on the trip. It really made things surreal for me. I clearly knew they all were real people, but seeing the photos and items left there just hit me." - S.S.

"Thank you so much for selecting me for the D.C. trip! It was an honor to be selected by you guys." - D.K.

"My favorite part of the trip was going to Arlington National Cemetery. It was my favorite part because I got to see the graves of some amazing people that made the U.S. great. - D.L.

"Thank you for a good time, I couldn't have done it without you!" - J.S.

Here is your chance to change someone’s life forever.  It is so simple.

For over 25 years at Mont Pleasant Middle School, we have taken fifty 8th graders on our annual field trip to Washington D.C. to visit several of our nation’s popular sites. This year, we hope to double that number and take one hundred students for a three-night trip that they will remember forever.

The cost of this trip is about $375 per student. In the past, the main reason for students not going on a trip like this is the lack of financial means. While we have about 250 eligible students at Mont Pleasant Middle School, very few can afford the full cost of this trip (last year, only 37 paid the full cost).

Almost all expenses are covered in the $375 cost, including transportation, lodging, meals, and admission fees. In addition to the traditional landmarks that D.C. has to offer, we also visit places like the Newseum, the Holocaust Museum, and pay our respects to Henry Johnson at Arlington National Cemetery.

Here's how you can help:

·  Sponsor an entire trip for 10 students, 5 students, or 1 student. You can do this as an individual, as a company, as a group of co-workers, family members, friends, or as a church group. Any person or group that sponsors 2 entire trips will have their name/logo placed on our t-shirts for the trip.

·  Be a twenty-percenter- if we can get 4 other people like you to contribute $75, we can send another student.

·  Anything you can give, even $10 or $20, is of value and is deeply appreciated.

We would value your commitment by March 15th so that we can plan accordingly.

Thank you for your consideration in making a difference for these children.
