MEMORIAL-VIGIL FOR CHRISTINE WOOD

In memory and honour of Christine Wood, a number of community groups and organizations are coming together with her family to honour her memory.
Unfortunately after several long, exhausting and stressful months, her family has recently been informed by Winnipeg Police Service that her life was taken.
To support her family during their time of loss and to honour her memory, MKO is working to bring her family members identified by Christine's parents into Winnipeg to take part in a vigil that will be held on Wednesday, April 12. Walk will start from Burrows in the afternoon and end at the Thunderbird House.
As many are touched by this sad loss and as community comes together during loss of loved ones, we are seeking support from the greater community to help with costs of associated in bring Christine's family in to Winnipeg from Bunibonibee Cree Nation. We are hoping to get support to fly fourteen people from BCN, help with their meals while here and one night's stay at a hotel. In addition to this, we are also seeking cash or food donations for the reception after the vigil at Thunderbird House. We'd greatly appreciate seeing you at the vigil and for those who are able to support with food/drinks or financially to help bring the family in for this memorial vigil, we thank you for your generousity.
