Luvable Dog Rescue is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity located in Eugene, Oregon. Luvable is a volunteer-based organization dedicated to re-homing exceptional, loving dogs who have been rescued from high-kill shelters where they had little chance of being adopted. Luvable does not receive any federal or state funding, it relies solely on donations from the public.

Many of the dogs arriving at Luvable Dog Rescue have suffered a lifetime of neglect.

They have skin, ear and eye infections as a result of never being inadequately groomed and lacking  proper care or suitable diet.

Some are just older and have a problem or two!

Luvable also accepts dogs that have been injured and need emergency medical care.  Some dogs we agree to take and find out later that they have a serious medical condition.

Luvable has an exceptional maternity and puppy care plan to accomodate mothers and puppies - which is desperately needed!!!

Each dog has a medical plan prepared for them upon intake at Luvable Dog Rescue. Some dogs simply need professional grooming and treatment for minor injuries and infections, but others need major surgery.

Whatever a dog’s need, we are dedicated to healing the dog physically as well as emotionally.

These needs add up to a huge monthly medical expense.  WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

The financial burden to our Rescue is huge. In order to meet the daily needs of Luvable and the dogs that are under our care, we need donations to offset the costs for caring for our dogs.  Please help us to end their suffering, and give them a new chance at life!

Please visit our website www.Luvabledogrescue.org, follow us on Facebook, or Intagram @luvabledogrescue.

We truly appreciate any help and support for our wonderful luvable dogs!

Two recent Medical Cases here at Luvable. Luther and Daisy are two very different dogs, but each one of came to us with unrecognized severe medical problems. When we commit to a dog we promise them we will do everything in our power to heal them body and soul and prepare them for the next chapter in their life.

⭐️DAISY⭐️ was abandoned at a police station by her disgruntled owners who said her puppies kept dying so she was no good as a breeder and they didn't want her any more.

Some of our dogs have yucky teeth upon arrival. Glinda really exemplifies this. One ongoing medical expense we have with older dogs is getting their teeth cleaned and any need dental work performed. It makes senior dogs so much more adoptable.

This is Dorothy. She's a sweet, blond with longer flowing hair. She arrived at our shelter with an injury or perhaps a deformity to her front leg. It cannot be repaired. She is a plucky little girl and she doesn't let her leg stop or even slow her down. It clearly was not a new injury, but we could not allow her to remain with this problem any longer. We took her to our vet who recommended amputation. We always try to save a leg, but with older injuries this often isn't possible. We scheduled surgery as soon as possible and she is now recovering in a foster home. We still need to raise the funds to cover this, but we just can't let a dog wait for our fundraising to kick into gear. Please help us pay for Dorothy leg repair.

Our estimate for her surgery. $1200-1800

Hello Everyone -
Thank you to all past supporters! We're trying to get out an update on previous medical cases. Here are our newest "Special Needs" dogs who have arrived at Luvable Dog Rescue over the past couple of months:

We have "Caroline" the Schnauzer, who came to us with a horrible eye injury. Thankfully, she does not need the eye removed and our vet determined it is not painful any longer. She probably suffered greatly when the injury first happened, but whoever had her did not provide any treatment! She will be blind in this eye, but need no additional care or surgery.

We also received "Red" an adorable terrier/Shih Tzu(?) mix who has a broken jaw and damaged teeth! We are in the process of evaluating him with our veterinarians to determine exactly what kind of medical care he will need. Even with his injury, he's incredibly sweet!

We also received "Edna" who is a poodle/Llhasa mix with a terribly abscessed tooth and infection that took over her sinus cavity. She's obviously been suffering from this for a very long time, but she had her surgery this week and finally should be on the road to recovery with us!

Many of our recent arrivals have needed dental work - extensive cleaning and extractions of rotting teeth. We also took in a litter of puppies who our veterinarian believes had the canine flu. Sadly, despite over $2000 in intensive care, one puppy died. Another puppy is fighting for his life, and we have spent over $3000 on 24 hour care for him. He is making progress and we hope his life will be saved. The other siblings have recovered.

All of these animals arrived at Luvable Dog Rescue with conditions due to previous neglect and lack of care. Immediately upon their arrival at Luvable Dog Rescue, their health condition is evaluated and medical care is started right away if needed. Needless to say, this all costs quite a bit of money. If you can donate to our medical fund, we would be so very grateful to you because without your support, we could not help these animals. Our adoption fees do not come close to covering the extra expense of emergency surgery, treatment and long-term care. Thanks so much for anything you can provide!
